Spot Poorly Valued Sporting Odds

6 January 2009

When it comes to sporting legends, focus on that word - legends - if you want to find a way of picking overvalued and undervalued sporting odds. When sporting stars start gaining reputations for certain things, bookmakers can occasionally lose sight of the real odds. This can mean that some things will be overvalued or undervalued, allowing you to possibly take advantage.

Look at mixed martial arts events, for instance. Grapplers will quite often dominate, yet heavy-handed strikers can get overvalued due to the "striker's chance". The idea is that a lucky shot could lead to a knockout, ending the fight. The problem with this is that it is very difficult to value, and those who are partial to strikers may find themselves believing it to be a more important factor than it is. This is where you can find an advantage in your sports betting and why you should keep track of how the Australian sports bookmakers value certain events - by watching how different bookmakers value things, you may be able to work out elements of sports that they misjudge.
